LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
One of our besties has literally the most Instagramable house, and we couldn’t think of a better location to shoot our newest underwear collection!
So, how do you find locations to shoot your gear? Excellent question, I’m so glad you asked! 😂
Firstly, it has to fit with your brand aesthetic. Here at Empress Athleticus, our brand “look” is all about bold, rich colours and subtle prints that are visually gorgeous, but not too busy. So, if the colours and prints are bold we always try to counter that with neutral backgrounds that enhance the colours we’re trying to show off.
We LOVE shooting our gear against concrete as the grey so often compliments our colours. But for this collection, we just knew we had to do something different.
Change is better than a holiday right? 😅
So where do you look when you need a great location? Your besties house of course!! 😂 Carina’s house is GORGEOUS! And she’s just finished renovating and decorating her living room including hanging some gorgeous local art and fresh flowers (Carina’s a florist by trade, so fresh flowers are a MUST!)

What we love most about her house (aside from the decor) is there is TONNES of natural light, her walls are white and it looks fresh and homey! It’s the perfect combo!
